191229-N-JM114-1183 DILI, Timor-Leste (Dec. 29, 2019) Steelworker 2nd Class Luvenia EverettJackson, deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Timor-Leste, cuts reinforcing steel for the STEM Laboratory construction project, which will be the first of its kind in Timor-Leste. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
