A group of commercial fishermen practice proper use of a de-watering pump during a refresher course held at Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak, Alaska, Jan. 11, 2020. The Alaska Marine Safety Education Association, or AMSEA, works annually with Air Station personnel to provide a refresher course to local fishermen regarding de-watering pump operation and immersion suit practice to reduce and mitigate potential hazards at sea.
