ATLANTIC OCEAN (Jan. 21, 2020) An F/A-18F Super Hornet, left, and an E/A-18G Growler, assigned to Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) 23, are positioned on one of USS Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) aircraft elevators prior to being lifted from the hangar bay to the flight deck. Ford is currently conducting Aircraft Compatibility Testing to further test its Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch Systems (EMALS) and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG).
