United States Army Garrison Daegu commander, Col. Kathleen A. Gavle, and the Chilgok County Governor, Paek Sun-ki, lay flowers in front of the Hill 303 monument that during Hill 303 Wreath Laying and Memorial Ceremony June 15 to honor those who lost their lives during the Korean War. Hill 303 was a major battle site during the Korean War where the U.S. 1st Cavalry Division sacrificed their lives in the successful defense of Waegwan.
