Sailors aboard the guided-missile cruiser USS Normandy use grappling hooks to recover an inflatable target, June 8, after a pre-aim calibration exercise in conjunction with the Baltic Operations exercise 2012. Normandy, a Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser homeported in Norfolk, Va., is representing the U.S. participation during the 40th iteration of BALTOPS, a multinational exercise intended to improve interoperability with partner nations by conducting realistic training both on land and at sea.
