SAN DIEGO (Jan. 23, 2020) Sailors and Civilians assigned to Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) attended a 3 day Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) roadshow that brought the Armys General Fund Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBS) roll out team to NMCSD to provide training on the new system which will be implemented at NMCSD, June 22. GFEBS is currently used by over 36,000 users in 71 countries. The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is adpoting GFEBS to replace the current tracking and reporting system we currently use. NMCSD’s mission is to prepare service members to deploy in support of operational forces, deliver high quality healthcare services, and shape the future of military medicine through education, training, and research. NMCSD employs more than 6,000 active duty military personnel, civilians, and contractors in Southern California to provide patients with world-class care anytime, anywhere.
