ATLANTIC OCEAN (Jan. 24, 2020) Electrician's Mate (Nuclear) 2nd Class Zachary Fietek, from Staples, Minnesota, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) reactor department, is presented with his "Wolverine of the Day" certificate by Capt. John J. Cummings, Ford's commanding officer, right, and Command Master Chief De'Andre Beaufort, left, in the ship's pilot house. Fietek is being recognized for his above and beyond support for Ford's reactor department. Fietek was instrumental in the completion of over 21 maintenance items before the end of the applicable maintenance quarter including several complex evolutions never performed by the ship.
