ATLANTIC OCEAN (Jan. 23, 2020) Sailors assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) air department prepare to move an F/A-18F Super Hornet, assigned to Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) 23, from an aircraft elevator to the hangar bay. Ford is currently conducting Aircraft Compatibility Testing to further test its Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG).
