Just a short walk from where America's space program flourished in the 1960s, Florida Air National Guard's Master Sgt. Gregory Jones stands above a historical plaque near Complex 14 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla. The marker is dedicated to the Mercury 7 astronauts who gained fame during the early days of America's manned space-flight program. Today, the Florida Air National Guard's 114th Range Operations Squadron is becoming part of the future of manned space-flight, by assisting with launches like the privately funded Falcon 9 rocket in May.
