Maley, a flight equpiment technician with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 314, Marine Aircraft Group 11, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW), during a tour of VMFA-314’s new hangar that was conducted after the town hall, which was held to introduce the U.S. Marine Corps’ F-35C Lightning II at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Miramar on Jan. 31, 2020. The first F-35C in Marine Corps history arrived at MCAS Miramar on Jan. 21, 2020. The F-35C incorporates advanced stealth characteristics and a powerful sensor suite that provides superior awareness to the pilot and ensures increased survivability and lethality in all environments.
