200123-N-RX815-1160 SATTAHIP, Thailand (Jan. 23, 2020) U.S. Navy Steelworker 3rd Class Jonah Foote, deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Thailand, cuts welded wire fabric for the pad to strengthen the concrete for the U.S. Marine Corps Engineering Subject Matter Expert Exchange project. This is a joint project between the Seabees with NMCB-5’s Detail Thailand, U.S. Marines with 9th Engineer Support Battalion, and Royal Thai Marine Corps Engineers to improve an existing firing range on the Royal Thai Marine Corps Reconnaissance Base in Thailand. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
