U.S Marine Lance Cpl. Damon Belton, and U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Carlo Portugal and Petty Officer 2nd Class Sophia Orlandi, all with Marine Wing Support Squadron 172, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, respond to a mass casualty drill during Exercise Northern Viper 2020 at Yausubetsu Training Area, Hokkaido, Japan, Jan. 21, 2020. Northern Viper is a regularly scheduled training exercise that is designed to enhance the interoperability of the U.S. and Japan Alliance by allowing Marine Air-Ground Task Forces from III Marine Expeditionary Force to maintain their lethality and proficiency in MAGTF Combined Arms Operations in cold weather environments.
