A U.S. Marine with the Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Africa 20.1, Marine Forces Europe and Africa, prepares to fuel an MV-22 Osprey during Exercise Combat Goose at Naval Station Rota, Spain, Feb. 5, 2020. The purpose of Combat Goose is to conduct Aviation Delivered Ground Refueling (ADGR) operations to demonstrate flexibility, capabilities to refuel at any given location, and enhance the ability to quickly and effectively respond to any crisis. SPMAGTF-CR-AF is deployed to conduct crisis-response and theater-security operations in Africa and promote regional stability by conducting military-to-military training exercises throughout Europe and Africa.
