Pilots from the 63rd Fighter Squadron gather for a pre-flight briefing Feb. 5, at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. The pilots operate F-35A Lighting II aircraft, assigned to Luke Air Force Base, Ariz. They temporarily relocated to Hawaii to join other flying squadrons in exercise Pacific Raptor, an exercise held to integrate the world’s most advanced fifth-generation aircraft. Pacific Raptor’s training activities included a simulation of air-to-air and air-to-surface combat training comprised of stealth aircraft against advanced threats.
