GULF OF OMAN (Feb. 9, 2020) Operations Specialist 2nd Class Joselyn Medrano, a member of the Coalition of Sailors Against Destructive Decisions aboard the guided-missile cruiser USS Normandy (CG 60), pours chocolate syrup onto ice cream during a CSADD hosted ice cream social event. Normandy is part of the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group and is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
