KIN BLUE, Okinawa, Japan (Jan. 31, 2020) A landing craft, air cushion with San Antonio-class dock landing ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20), carrying a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, lowers its ramp to allow the HIMARS to disembark. Green Bay, part of the America Expeditionary Strike Group, 31st MEU team, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
