U.S. Marines with Marine Rotational Force-Europe 20.1, Marine Forces Europe and Africa, conduct an M224 60mm mortar live-fire range in Giskås, Norway, Feb. 7, 2020. The range allowed mortarmen to refine their skills by having to quickly adjust fires after a successful hit, and changing firing positions multiple times. MRF-E focuses on regional engagements throughout Europe by conducting various exercises, arctic cold-weather and mountain-warfare training, and military-to-military engagements, which enhance overall interoperability of the U.S. Marine Corps with allies and partners.
