A KC-130 Hercules with Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 152 (VMGR-152) takes off from Marine Corps Air Station Futenma runway to support one of the longest continuous flights to be conducted with the MV-22B by Marine Medium Tiltrotor 262 (VMM-262) at MCAS Futenma, Okinawa Japan, Feb. 6, 2020. VMGR-152 KC-130’s aerial refueling capabilities gives VMM-262’s MV-22Bs the ability to complete distances in a continuous flight that wouldn’t be able to reach without having to touch down and refuel. This flight is roughly the distance from Los Angeles, California to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, making it one of the farthest continuous flight to ever be conducted by the MV-22B Osprey.
