Company D, 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion Marines sprint out of the landing zone with a stretcher, while another group of Marines assists a casualty with a simulated leg injury onto a CH-53E Super Stallion, during a casualty evacuation exercise June 20, aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. Troops from Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 366 were on hand to provide air support during the training, in support of Exercise Mailed Fist, a large-force exercise that 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing is conducting on the East Coast. The purpose of Mailed Fist is to ensure the 2nd MAW remains ready to be II Marine Expeditionary Force's aviation force-in-readiness.
