SAN DIEGO (Feb. 11, 2019) Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) honored the Sailors of the Quarter and Bluejacket of the Quarter during a ceremony Feb. 12. The breakfast was hosted by the San Diego Navy League and USAA to recognize NMCSD Sailors who demonstrated outstanding performance as both a Sailor and a role model, and who exhibit the Navy's Core Values of Honor, Courage and Commitment. NMCSD's mission is to prepare service members to deploy in support of operational forces, deliver high quality healthcare services, and shape the future of military medicine through education, training and research. NMCSD employs more than 6,000 active duty military personnel, civilians and contractors in Southern California to provide patients with world-class care anytime, anywhere.
