CERTEX is the final evolution exercise for the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, serving as the Command Element, SPMAGTF-CR-CC 20.2, to ensure unit readiness to respond to a wide-range of crisis scenarios. The California-based 13th MEU will serve as the command element for SPMAGTF-CR-CC 20.2 during their upcoming spring deployment to the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.
