Army Reserve Sgt. Cynthia Alley (left) of Round Rock, Texas, is presented with the Task Force Stethem: Warfighter of the Month Award for the month of May while serving in southern Afghanistan. The 22nd Naval Construction Regiment selected Alley for her work as a field medic with the 980th Engineer Battalion. Of the five battalions in the Navy brigade, only one service member is chosen for the award each month. Staff Sgt. Adrian Welch presented her with the certificate and plaque.
