U.S. Army Maj. Derek Wamsley, commander of the 5th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment, addresses those gathered for the unit’s guidon uncasing ceremony at the Family Resource Center at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, Feb. 19, 2020. “The 5th MPAD participated in every major training operation in the [United States European Command area of responsibility], and the unanimous feedback from supported units was that our Soldiers exceeded expectations every time,” Wamsley said. “I’m proud to lead these Soldiers, I’m glad to be back and I’m ready to get started on the next mission.”
