Staff Sgt. Matt Carlino, left, 100th Operations Support Squadron Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape specialist, gets Airman 1st Class Bradley Boyd, 100th OSS, in his guard as the two drill arm bars from the guard May 17, 2012. Four military members from RAF Mildenhall, and one from RAF Lakenheath, attended the four-day Modern Army Combative Program course, taught by Carlino, at Defender University, RAF Feltwell. The level-one course teaches students 18 different basic ground techniques, including clinches and rolls, then teaches them how to get out of a particular position if they are ever attacked.
