200222-N-ZW591-1027 SASEBO, Japan (Feb. 22, 2020) Utilitiesman 2nd Jordan Gouge, from Lawton, Oklahoma, jack hammers concrete during an excavation for two pre-engineered buildings being constructed for Naval Beach Unit Seven (NBU-7). These two structures will provide NBU-7 a place to store and maintain their equipment, preventing the deterioration of their equipment and increasing their lethality within the region. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
