Miltenberger is a member of 569th Engineer Dive Detachment, which deployed to Afghanistan to support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Afghanistan Engineer District-South, by conducting hydrographical surveys and inspections of underwater structures at Kajaki and Dahla Dams.
