This type of Survival Knife/ Pilot Knife, 10.25 inches in length, was issued to pilots as part of their survival kit and has been standard issue since the late-1950s, yet Cmdr. Reid and an untold number of other pilots carried their own versions into combat. This knife was produced by the company Ontario in 1986. The sheath includes a sharpening stone.
