“Really we’re one of the first ones in, within 72 hours of the hurricane coming through, let’s say all communication is down and we can’t use cell phones or anything. We come in, we can set up HF, VHF, UHF, WiFi signal so the emergency response can communicate back and forth,” said Air Force Capt. Nathan Nehf, 119th Cyber Operations Squadron.
Patriot South 20 is a joint, interagency exercise, sponsored by the National Guard Bureau (NGB), designed for civilian emergency management and responders to work with military entities in the same manner that they would during disasters. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Sgt. Connie Jones)
