" SOF is important and we must leverage its unique capabilities to influence and degrade conflict," said Alexander, who supervises U.S. Special Operations Command core tasks: counterterrorism; unconventional warfare; direct action; special reconnaissance; foreign internal defense; civil affairs, information and psychological operations; and counterproliferation of WMD.
