    48th Military History Detachment

U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers assigned to the 48th and 49th Military History Detachments out of Arlington Heights, Illinois, are welcomed by Paul W. Grasmehr, center, a reference coordinator for the Pritzker Military Museum and Library in Chicago, Illinois, March 6, 2020. The current exhibit at the museum provides an overview of the battles and actions that led to the Allied victory in Europe and the Pacific during World War II. Grasmehr was able to provide personal knowledge on why collecting historical documents and materials are essential and how this can improve the History Detachment’s overall capabilities.
