200303-N-BO270-0274 DIEGO GARCIA, British Indian Ocean Territory (March 3, 2020) Builder 2nd Class Bethann Crotchett, deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, briefs Cmdr. Ryan Carey, NCMB-5's commanding officer, on a project she is currently supervising, a shade structure that will be used by the military working dogs and canine handlers currently assigned to the island. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
