U.S. Navy search and rescue swimmers from USS Elrod (FFG 55) pull one of four survivors aboard their rigid-hulled inflatable boat during search and rescue efforts in the Caribbean, June 26. Elrod received a call from a maritime patrol aircraft about a capsized, partially submerged vessel with possible survivors on board. Elrod made best speed to the reported position, and launched a RHIB to retrieve the survivors. After being checked by a Corpsman, the four survivors were medevac to a hospital in Colombia.
