Katherine Baile, an emergency nurse, screens a patient in their car at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth’s (NMCP) COVID-19 drive thru screening and triage site outside of NMCP’s Emergency Department on March 20. NMCP implemented a new drive thru screening and triage site designed to relieve the patient flow through the Emergency Department and help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in an open air environment.
