Spc. Joshua Black, of Rockford, Ill., attaches one of 62 parachute ripcords to the static line of a C-17 Globemaster III at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. The 62 cargo bundles were dropped from two C-17s Oct. 11 to a drop zone in Afghanistan. This was the first time a combat cargo drop of this magnitude has taken place from two C-17s in formation over one drop zone. Black is a rigger with the 11th Quartermaster Company, 82nd Airborne Division, Ft. Bragg, NC.
