Trucks containing supplies and equipment from the 531st Hospital Center pulls into Javits New York Medical Station. The supplies range from items that will allow medical staff to conduct routine patient care, to equipment to build an intensive care unit. Soldiers, along with FEMA personnel and other federal, state and local agencies began operating a field hospital out of the JNYMS, March 30, in an effort to relieve the burden on local hospitals.
