U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Christopher Pruitt, outgoing Sergeant Major of Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 373, Marine Wing Support Group (MWSG) 37, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, passes the sword to Sgt. Maj. Jacob Karl, ingoing Sergeant Major of MWSS-373, during a relief and appointment ceremony at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, April 3, 2020. The emblematic passing of the sword signifies the transfer of sacred trust from one Sergeant Major to another. Marines and family members practiced social distancing while recognizing Pruitt for his leadership and dedication to the Corps. The unit also welcomed Lee as the new Sergeant Major.
