Members of the Michigan National Guard assist the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) with logistics support to establish a Federal Medical Station (FMS) at Detroit’s TCF Center, March 31, 2020 (U.S. National Guard photo by Staff Sgt. Jacob Cessna/released).
“I actually live in Grosse Pointe, Mich. which is about seven miles from here in Detroit. This is pretty much my home town. So to be able to come back and have such an important job, helping people out who really need it, it’s a big deal. We're here to help, this is our job, and we’re very excited to be a part of this and be able to help our community.”
- Staff Sgt. Ryan Stepanski, 1433rd Engineer Company, Michigan National Guard
