OKINAWA, Japan (April 7, 2020) Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) and Sailors aboard amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) move supplies during a supply onload. While underway, the America conducts routine supply onloads in order to stay supplied and ready for any contingencies in their area of operation. America, flagship of the America Expeditionary Strike Group, 31st MEU team, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
