Reserve Officers' Training Corps cadets travel from colleges across the country to JBLM every year to participate in the Leader Development and Assessment Course. How well the cadets perform during the assessment will contribute in determining where they rank on the order of merit list and could affect the branch they will work in once the cadets receive a commission as an Army officer.
