SGT Justin Harmon, from the 4/278th Armored Calvary Regiment, closes a completed swab kit for COVID-19 at Roane County Health Department April 9, 2020. Members of the Tennessee Army and Air National Guard are stationed in Roane County to assist the RCHD with COVID-19 testing. People who wish to be tested call in and provide necessary information, including what kind of car they will be driving, and are assigned an appointment time. Patients call when they arrive, and medical personnel suit up to conduct the test with minimal physical interaction with patients. The test is handed off to health department personnel and sent in for testing.
