The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Dallas patrols fishing grounds to enforce fisheries regulations off the coast of Massachusetts, Oct. 9. This marks the first time in several years that Dallas has deployed to New England waters. Until the mid-1990s, the Dallas called New York City home, but the 160-person crew of the 378-foot high endurance cutter are now homeported in Charleston, S.C. "The New England maritime environment can be challenging and unforgiving," said Capt. Eric Brown, Dallas' commanding officer. "Our job is to work hard and provide the highest level of quality service to the mariner and the region." (U.S. Coast Guard Photo/Chief Petty Officer James Moerls)
