Leaders from the Army Reserve Medical Command’s 7457th Medical Backfill Battalion conduct planning during a Soldier Readiness Processing event April 17, 2020, at the 1st Lt. Jimmie Monteith U.S. Army Reserve Center in Richmond, Va. The Soldiers are responsible for the support of an eighty-five member team preparing to mobilize as an Army Reserve Urban Augmentation Medical Task Force to assist with patient care in areas heavily-affected by the COVID-19 virus. The Army Reserve has nearly 3,000 Soldiers supporting the Department of Defense response to the virus.
