SOUTH CHINA SEA (April 22, 2020) Cpl. Andrew Richter, a military working dog handler with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), and native of Charlotte, North Carolina, demonstrates the proper recovery position on Sisi, a military working dog with the 31st MEU, during a Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) class aboard amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6). The TCCC class allowed Marines and Sailors to learn life-saving techniques, bolstering the combat effectiveness of the 31st MEU and the America Expeditionary Strike Group. America, flagship of the America Expeditionary Strike Group, 31st MEU team, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
