Edward Reeder, U.S. Army Special Forces Command (Airborne) Commander listen to the remarks during the 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) Memorial Stone dedication ceremony, July 3. During the ceremony, a stone in honor of the 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) was unveiled on the U.S. Army Special Operations Memorial Plaza. The stone symbolizes the achievements and sacrifices members of 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) have made since its activation in December 1963 and reactivation in July 1990.
