A New York Army National Guard Soldier assigned to the 369th Sustainment Brigade makes a new friend in a therapy dog at the Javits New York Medical Station in New York City April 17, 2020. The dogs, trained through the organization “Puppies Behind Bars” where dogs are trained in state correctional facilities, are part of a program to bolster Soldier and healthcare worker resiliency during operations at the Javits New York Medical Station in Manhattan. National Guard and active component forces have treated more than 1,026 COVID-19 patients since early April in order to provide relief to city hospitals. Photo courtesy of Gloria Gilbert Stoga.
