Some of the dogs rescued by Chris and Carla Mancilla. The dogs (and two cats) have kept companions for children the couple has fostered through the years. The Mancilla’s have served as foster parents for about 60 children over the past five years, and have also adopted two children - Rocky and Mila. April is the Month of the Military Child in the Army, and Chris is a master sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserve, serving with the 652nd Regional Support Group, currently deployed to Poland.
