Local residents enjoyed food, festivities and fireworks in celebration of Independence Day at the 9th annual Havelock Freedom Festival at Walter B. Jones Park, July 4. The free event included activities for all ages including a hula-hoop contest, three-legged race, and pie-eating contests.
