TAMUNING, Guam (May 4, 2020) U.S. Army Maj. Luis Cruz (right), Guam’s COVID-19 Unified Response Element (CURE) medical surgeon planner, joined members of Task Force West (TFW) to complete an assessment of the medical capabilities at the Guam Surgicenter in support of the fight against COVID-19. TFW was created to support the Theater Joint Force Land Component Command (TJFLCC) in preparation for potential Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) and Foreign Humanitarian Assistance (FHA) missions, as part of the response to COVID-19 in Guam and the region.
