New York, NY, April 30, 2020 – The USNS Comfort departs New York Harbor after completing its mission to support the coronavirus (COVID-19) response and ease the stress on the city’s hospital system. The Navy hospital ship, which arrived in New York on March 30, heads back to its homeport in Norfolk, Va., to restock and await its next assignment.
