Maj. Gen. David J. Furness, the commanding general of 2nd Marine Division, visits the Expeditionary Staging Area (ESA) aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C., May 5, 2020. The ESA was established to mitigate the risk of COVID-19 by providing newly arrived recruits a medical screening and observation area.
